La Velodyssée is the French section of the Euro Bike Route 1
This route begins in the Cap Nord in Norway and continues all the way to Sagres in Portugal.
La Barre de Monts / Fromentine – Saint Gilles Croix de Vie section
In France it links Roscoff in Finistère with Hendaye in the Basque area more than 1200km away. One stage which includes the cycle paths that run through the forest along the coast, links the 35.78km between La Barre de Monts / Fromentine with Saint Gilles Croix de Vie passing through Notre Dame de Monts and Saint Jean de Monts on the way.
