From La Barre de Monts to Saint Jean de Monts, over 19 kms of fine sand, you have the choice between 22 beaches that follow one after the other. 22 little corners of paradise: huge, dunes, urban, calm, lively, safe, supervised, gently sloping and without current.
Fine sandy beaches: there is the choice in Pays de Saint Jean de Monts
These beaches, which are all free of charge, slope gently down to a calm sea and are ideal for families. It’s easy to park with numerous free parking areas.
Whether you want a natural beach, a beach in a more lively central area with entertainment or a naturist beach – there’s a fantastic beach here to suit all tastes! In summer the water temperature stays at around 20 degrees, with a safe sandy beach even at low tide. The Pavillon Bleu award shows the high quality of the water. They are all wonderful but each beach has its own particular features to win you over.
A sensible and ecological programme for beach cleaning and maintenance is in place to assure the necessary protection of the dunes and the sensitive natural environment.
Security bracelets for children are available on request from the Lifeguard stations and all of our tourist offices.
