This beach runs alongside the little pedestrianised promenade lined by villas with their curious variety of architectural styles. You can stroll along quietly, one moment looking at the villas and the next at the entertaining activity on the beach. On this beach there is a constant stream of movement, this way and that, between the boats from the yacht club and the ferries heading to Ile d’Yeu. The Barbatre coast stretches out before your eyes and is accessible by the Noirmoutier bridge which provides, in itself, a spectacular backdrop for this beach.
