Description

How about a 17km cycle loop, covering two of the five communes in the Saint Jean de Monts area?

Departing from the beach at Saint Jean de Monts, the route takes you to the heart of the marais doux, in the commune of Le Perrier. You’ll gradually move away from the hustle and bustle of the seaside resort and into the calm of the market gardens. This is what the Saint Jean de Monts region is all about!

Getting to the starting pointReport a problem

Step 1: Les Oiseaux de Mer

Made of crushed stone bonded with white cement, the statue of the Seabirds was sculpted by the Martel brothers in 1963. The following year, it was donated to the town of Saint Jean de Monts by the developer Jean Minelian. Facing the beach and the ocean, "Les Oiseaux de Mer" symbolise the station's flight.

Step 2: Le Perrier, au cœur du Marais Breton Vendéen

The route plunges you into the heart of the Marais Breton Vendéen, criss-crossed by water and fields. Take your time to observe this surprising landscape, from its quiet little roads with their slightly bucolic atmosphere. The colours of the marshes change with the seasons.
