About us
Run by Hélène and Antony since 2005, Restaurant l'Estran has become a veritable institution in Notre Dame de Monts.
Its strength lies in the quality and generosity of its traditional French cuisine, one of those comforting dishes that “does you good”.
The selection of local produce and the expertise of their staff are very important to them, and you can find the origin (mainly Vendée and Loire) of many of the products on their menu. Here, the ‘home-made’ law is applied.
Whether à la carte or on the menu, the dishes are tasty and hearty. The chef is always on the lookout for the best value for money to suit all budgets and palates, so there are various options to choose from:
– Formula
– Menu of the day
– Children’s menu
– Teen menu
Wine and cheese are the perfect accompaniment to a good meal. The fine wine list is commented on to help you make the best pairing with the chosen dishes, and the cheese comes on trolleys, to the delight of gourmets. A selection of fifty or so varieties from all over the world will be vying for your favour, but whether there’s enough room to sample them remains to be seen.
In the dining room, with its rustic charm and friendly atmosphere, Hélène and her service team set the pace. Dynamic and cheerful, she bends over backwards to welcome you.
And to ensure that a family meal is a real treat for everyone, everything possible is done at l’Estran to make life easier for young parents.
We provide :
– high chairs and booster seats
– baby changing area
– indoor children’s play area and colouring area
– parking space reserved for families
– children’s and teenagers’ menus with a focus on tasty discoveries
Inclusion has long been a watchword at l’Estran. With “Tourism and Disability” accreditation for 4 types of disability (hearing, motor, mental and visual), the restaurant offers easy and safe access, height-adjustable tables, a magnifying glass to read maps with greater ease, adapted menus and much more, so that everyone can make the most of the moment.
Hélène and Antony believe in protecting the environment. So it’s no coincidence that they have chosen to join the local initiative “Engagés pour une Destination Durable” (“Committed to a Sustainable Destination”) proposed by the Pays de Saint Jean de Monts destination: gourmet bag, waste sorting, compost bin and hen house, rainwater recovery, 100% local meat… there’s no shortage of examples of actions designed to limit the impact of their business on the environment.
A large private car park is available for your convenience.
So don’t hesitate to book your table!
