LA BOURRINE DU BOIS JUQUAUD

About us

Discover the traditional marsh habitat of Saint Hilaire de Riez.
Neighbouring Saint Jean de Monts, Saint Hilaire de Riez boasts a multitude of unique landscapes and heritage treasures, typical of the Marais Breton Vendéen.

One of these treasures is the Bourrine du Bois Juquaud, a jewel of local history. This authentic dwelling and its outbuildings are an invitation to step back in time to a time when the inhabitants lived in harmony with nature.

Every year, don’t miss the many events organised in partnership with the volunteers of the Friends of the Bois Juquaud Bourrine. Come and discover the skills of yesteryear, enjoy traditional music and dance, and savour the specialities of the market garden.

Since 2023, a trail has taken you through the heart of the Bois-Juquaud forest.
