Nieul-sur-l'Autise Abbey, when technology reveals the stone
At the heart of a Petite Cité de Caractère, Nieul-sur-l'Autise Abbey is an architectural jewel, showcased and managed by the Département de la Vendée. The abbey is one of the few monastic complexes in the Poitevin region to have survived almost intact, with the only Romanesque cloister in the West preserved in its entirety.
