The central beach at Notre Dame de Monts is the busiest in the resort. A real magnet in season, it offers a wide range of activities for all ages, with summer visitors and locals mixing together. An ideal place to watch the sun set, it also attracts walkers once the sun has gone down.
This has lifeguard security and as it is in the central area of the town, it is the main area for beach activities and entertainment. It is accessible to those with reduced mobility (accompanied) with various equipment available so that they can go into the water. Dedicated parking bays are only 50 metres away with enhanced walkways and the following equipment: 1 amphibious wheelchair, 1 tiralos from 15th June to 15th September (these are beach chairs designed for people with reduced mobility. They can be used on the beach or on water, and go from one to the other without requiring any transformation) and 1 “hippocampe” – an all-terrain beach wheelchair. All equipment is available during the opening hours of the Poste de Secours. Disabled toilets are available but there are no dedicated changing cubicles. Ramp to access the beach.
