Porteau lock: The Taillée Canal, with the elegant plaice-fisheries along its banks, the Porteau lock and play area, is dotted with fishing boats at the unspoilt little port of Pont Neuf. Each boat has a wooden landing stage, with a bird perched on top of each post.

Beachfront promenade: The little pedestrian beachfront promenade bordered on one side by unusual-looking villas. On the other side, the mysterious 4 Aces shipwrecks and the coast of Noirmoutier.

La Grande Côte beach: The spectacular bay of La Grande Côte beach and the dune path. A wild curving beach, forming a majestic gateway to Fromentine.
