Event description
Le Daviaud will be alive with the sound of bagpipes on Sunday 28 July for a unique and festive event to mark the temporary exhibition "Mélodies Maraîchines"!
The veuze (a bagpipe emblematic of the Vendée Breton Marshes) will be presented throughout the day by the La Garnache Veuze School. Time will be devoted to the instrument in the museum’s collections, in the company of its scientific team and Thierry Bertrand.
Neighbouring regions will also be in the spotlight, with the Bagad de Vannes and the Celtic circle Strollad An Tour-Illiz (La Turballe) enlivening the day and presenting other types of bagpipes.
A closing ball will kick off at 8pm with Los Cinc Jaus (Massif Central), the veuzous from the veuze school and the piping duo Benjamin Goudédranche and Gweltaz Hervé.
