« TOUT CE QUE VOUS N’AVEZ JAMAIS VOULU SAVOIR SUR ࣽÉRIC LE BLANCHE »

Maison de quartier du Pont Morineau Place Pierre de Coubertin 85000 LA ROCHE-SUR-YON

Event description

In co-production with the Art Métiss' association and the Mordicus collective: theatrical performance or play by a chorus of 7 actors presenting a single, singular man in the style of an animated exhibition. "This show is a work that talks about a work. The choreography brings the paintings to life. The work emerges from its solitude in the ballet between the actors themselves and the audience. The decision to stage what was once invisible was a risky one. But it paid off, as the audience is overwhelmed, doesn't want to leave the auditorium and the works, and would stay for hours". (Cathie Barreau).

Following on from the show, an exhibition on the singular Éric Le Blanche will be presented in the forum.

Opening on 13 January at 9.30pm. “The exhibition by Eric Le Blanche (1951-2016) is presented by Arts-Métiss, manager of the Jean-Pierre Rouillon collection, which included hundreds of drawings on paper and cardboard that were discovered and purchased at the auction of the house’s furniture in 2017. When he took down the drawings pinned to the walls, he discovered the murals that filled the house where Eric had lived as a hermit in Vouvant since the death of his mother in 1983. The exhibition will show all the artistic facets of this creator of art brut, who spent much of his life drawing only for himself.
