THOMAS DE POURQUERY :
Singer-songwriter and saxophonist Thomas de Pourquery is well known for his boundless curiosity. Seen alongside the likes of Metronomy and Oxmo Puccino, he also made a name for himself with his superb album dedicated to the cosmic jazz master Sun Ra with his group Supersonic.
An extravagant showman with a flashy aura, Thomas is back in the spotlight with ‘Let The Monster Fall’, an album of psychedelic pop songs. Joining him on this spatio-temporal journey is an atomic new band: the irresistible groove of rhythm guitarists Sylvain Daniel (bass) and David Aknin (drums), maestro Étienne Jaumet (Zombie Zombie) on modular synth and crazy sax, and the great Akemi Fujimori (Naïve New Beaters) on keyboards and stratospheric backing vocals.
