Summer exhibition – In the forest, the trees

From 7 July to 30 August, artist Bernadette Chéné will be presenting a unique exhibition entitled "Dans la forêt, les arbres" ("In the forest, the trees").
What if the forest of Saint Jean de Monts came to meet you? That’s the artistic idea behind this exhibition-installation, created as you go along.

The creations are on the scale of the site, and will come to life in situ before the eyes of visitors. Bark, leaves, branches, trunks, earth: Bernadette Chéné’s guiding principle is to create minimalist works using simple, familiar materials salvaged from the site.
The artist draws her inspiration from her surroundings, creating unique sculptures that highlight the land and nature.

In this way, she encourages us all to question, listen to and look at our environment.
