FESTIVAL D'HIVER LES ARTS PAR NATURE
35 chemin de la chaume 85770 VIX
Event description
16 AND 17 DECEMBER
METAMORPHOSES, between Nature and Culture
To observe the cycles of the vine is to take a living look at nature and understand its metamorphoses over time, in a trusting, constant, infinite, universal totality. From the moment the seeds are released from the thighs of the mineral to the resurrection of the grapes in divine juices, there is a rhythmic sequence of contractions and expansions. Breaths that can only be experienced by exploring the visible and the invisible, seamlessly, in a primordial unity.
At PRIEURE La Chaume, we cultivate this approach to the world, in harmony with nature, its images and its language, following in the footsteps of Goethe, the illustrious playwright and botanist.
Listening to plants and their metamorphoses at work in a holistic approach that invites us to rediscover our childlike spirit and cultivate a sense of wonder. Accepting to put into dialogue what we decide and what escapes us, accepting to deconstruct by letting the tendrils, undulations and spirals penetrate us in the fullness of their movements.
To hear the colours of the vine in the same way as we are intoxicated by a score, unique and continually repeated, with changing accents but immutable laws.
with changing accents but unchanging laws, the kind that evokes the work of Philip Glass and echoes that of
Goethe’s work. Metamorphosis, a hypnotic piano creation in five movements, composed in part to accompany
to accompany Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis on stage, is a musical representation of growth and transformation.
transformation: fascinating, immersive, cathartic.
To welcome the painter’s gesture, devoid of intention, which suggests to our eyes the imprint of the plant in the time of the work to be born.
the time of the work in progress, as part of a constantly evolving whole.
We invite you on a journey to the heart of the metamorphoses between Nature and Culture, conceived as an invitation to explore, through sensitive detours, the world of plants.
an invitation to explore all forms of subjectivity through sensitive detours. Following in the footsteps of the
the farmer-philosopher, the painter and the musician, to free ourselves from dualistic thinking, cultivate nuance and reconnect
with the living.
