For this session, Australia from the Great West to Tasmania
Presented by Jean Charbonneau
The Wild West, from the Red Pilbara to the coral reefs where whale sharks roam. From the Pinnacles desert to the gold prospectors’ trails. From Kalgoorlie, the largest gold mine, to the south-west coast, Wave Rock, and the highest forests. Freemantle, the trendy city, and Perth, the world’s most isolated modern capital. Tasmania, a painful history and grandiose nature. The primary forest with the tallest trees in the world, where extraordinary honey is harvested. An animal treasure trove populated by pademelon, wombat and the famous devil. A grand coastal tour of paradise islands and breathtaking cliffs. The traditional “tassie” spirit, the retro festival of Evandale and Hobart, the capital.
Ticket offices open at 2pm. Please arrive as early as possible to keep to the time of the conference at 3pm.
Membership for 2025 is €5. You need to be a member to take part in the film lectures.
