For this session, Thailand from Boudha to Globalisation
Presented by Nicolas Pélissier
Today, Thailand is the most developed country on the Indochinese peninsula. Age-old Buddhist traditions, firmly rooted in all age groups of society, do not hinder the country’s resolute commitment to modernism at the start of the third millennium. Pagodas with roofs gleaming red and gold stand side by side with towers of glass and steel. After the difficult period of Covid, Thailand has once again become one of the most visited countries on the planet, with travellers enchanted by its rich and brilliant culture, its majestic temples, its original cuisine and its islands of white sandy beaches.
Membership for 2025 is €5. You need to be a member to take part in the film lectures.
Per screening 2025: €10
