CAMPSITE LES CHAUMES

The history of this campsite began in 1971, in the purest tradition of farm campsites. Since then, two stars have shone beside the campsite's name. Facilities and services have moved upmarket, but the campsite has lost none of its authenticity. This is due in part to the owners' family, of whom Thierry now represents the third generation. You can count on his warm welcome and availability.

Camping Les Chaumes promises you serenity and relaxation. There are no long driveways here. This is a campsite on a human scale. There are 25 spacious, shady bare pitches and 10 rental units.

And it has to be said that Les Chaumes campsite has a lot going for it! There’s a brand new indoor swimming pool open every day non-stop, with a paddling pool, whirlpool and terrace. The Tonnelles beach, with its wild dunes, is just 750 metres away. The forest is even closer! Just cross the small road to get there, on foot or by bike.

This location, right next to the Vélodyssée, is ideal for cyclists. What’s more, the campsite has been awarded the “Accueil Vélo” label. You’ll enjoy a restful night’s sleep at the special rando rate.

In an environment like this, it was only natural for Thierry and Marie-Cécile to commit to a sustainable destination. Children will be delighted to see the home-made insect hotels set up on the campsite. Unless, of course, they are overtaken by their desire to have fun in the playground or play a game of boules with grandma and grandpa on the pétanque pitch…

Just next door to the campsite, you’ll find great takeaway food at “Chez JP et Fanfan”. Enough to satisfy your appetite (until 11pm in July and August). The shops at Les Tonnelles are nearby, so you can find what you need without having to go far. Take advantage of the “La Littorale” shuttle bus service in summer to discover the riches of the Saint Jean de Monts region. There’s a stop very close to the campsite.
