Zoo des Sables

Take a break from nature at Zoo des Sables! Just a stone's throw from the beaches, meet 500 exotic animals: lions, giraffes, love panthers, monkeys, red pandas and giant anteaters await you in an unspoilt, verdant environment. A real oasis by the sea!

A fascinating, fun world
During animal meals, our team will share their passion with you and introduce you to tapirs, lemurs, penguins and maned wolves. With games to play with and sculptures to ride, it’s your turn to play!

The Amur panther
The rare Amur panther has taken up residence at Les Sables Zoo. Classified as critically endangered by the World Conservation Union, this species is one of the most endangered of all mammals! Its imposing stature, thick golden and spotted fur and feline appearance make it a magnificent fawn!

Up close to the birds
Enter our large aviary to meet the birds of Oceania. Admire their noisy flight and feed the multicoloured lorikeets yourself (bowls of nectar on sale at reception).

An Ecozoo
Les Sables Zoo is the forerunner of a new type of park combining respect for the environment and protection of exotic and local biodiversity. Our actions include ecological gardening, inventories of local fauna and support for international conservation programmes for endangered species.
