Take a guided tour of the last remaining windmill in the municipality (booking required, online or by phone): in the company of the miller, follow the transformation of wheat grains into flour over 3 floors. The tour will stimulate all your senses! The flour produced on site (wheat, buckwheat and small spelt) is available for sale on site.
For children, the “Graine de détective” treasure hunt takes the form of a detective story (6 to 12 years).
Open-access leisure park: a green, educational environment with a playground, wooden games and picnic tables.
There’s also a restaurant, bakery and shop on site.
The mill, built in 1842 and located 25 km from Saint Jean de Monts, is the last of the 6 mills that operated in the commune of Saint-Révérend in the last century, when it was known as “the granary of the canton”. It operated until 1930. Then, in 1997, it was bought and restored by the Communauté de Communes, which created a genuine tourist attraction. Since 2010, the Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie Tourist Office has been running the site and offering a range of events.
