About us

Set in 4.5 hectares of parkland in the heart of La Roche-sur-Yon, the Haras de la Vendée, a cultural site run by the Vendée department, shares its passion for horses with you.

The Vendée department invites you to discover the Haras de la Vendée, set in 4.5 hectares of parkland in the heart of La Roche-sur-Yon. Dedicated to the equestrian arts, the stud reveals the secrets of the horse's life. Throughout the season, there are educational events for young and old, as well as a major horse show every afternoon in July and August.

Every day: equestrian storytelling (except Saturdays), costumed tours, educational workshops, question boxes and adventure books.
Guided tours, horse-drawn carriage collection.

Access to the landscaped park is free all year round from 9am to 5pm, when it is not open to the public.
