Campsite Plein Sud

A holiday by the sea at a quiet and friendly campsite where families love to return year after year - that’s the promise of the Plein Sud campsite in Saint Jean de Monts. It’s ideally located between the marshes and the forest and close to a supervised beach where dogs are permitted.

Whether you’re coming to stay for 3 weeks or just one night - perhaps as a stopover on the Vélodyssée cycle route for example - you will find everything you need thanks to the wide range of accommodation on offer.

• Comfort cottages - able to accommodate 2 - 6 people with covered terrace to enable meals outdoors. What’s better than breakfast in the warm sunshine. To make things simple, you have the option to include bedlinen and babycare items in your booking. Gone are the days of an overloaded boot on departure day!
• Tents - Nature or Cambodgia - for a complete break. These are mounted on wooden decking and come fully equipped. You can make the most of the camping experience without having to put up your own tent - how great is that?!
• Unusual accommodation - Campétoile tent - for those who love to sleep in the moonlight. Tucked away up high on a bed under the canvas that you find on a catamaran, there is a hidden and movable section of the curtained roof that you can pull back to reveal the stars. In the space underneath there’s a picnic table where you can have your meals in the shade. This option can be reserved by the night so is ideal for those looking for a stop-off on a cycling tour or for those who prefer to travel light.
• Tent and caravan owners are not excluded. Basic pitches are available which are spacious and shaded and offer the opportunity for a great get together.

• The outdoor heated pool where you can play or be lazy as you wish. The paddling pool and water play area will delight young children who will be under the supervision of the grown-ups, settled on their loungers in the shade of the parasols. Before and after the high season, when the sun may be hiding behind the clouds, there’s the option of the covered swimming pool at our second campsite across the road.
• Friendliness is the key word of Camping Plein Sud and there are various activities on offer throughout the week. Evening entertainment, pétanque competitions, a food truck - your week will be filled with things to do. For everyone’s comfort and enjoyment, and to maintain the calm that the campsite is known for, all evening entertainment is completed by midnight.
• If you’re going on holiday with children or grandchildren and want them to come home with lots of happy memories, then the kids’ club and children’s entertainment is just for that! Set up in its own caravan, the kids’ club welcomes children 5 - 12 years where they’ll find a variety of specially adapted activities. At the same time, the entertainment team also offer a range of sporting activities for older children (10 - 15 years) where teenagers can meet up and challenge each other. It’s a great way to start up holiday friendships.
• For those who wish to stay connected to the world, there is free wifi throughout the campsite.

  
The local environment of the Pays de Saint Jean de Monts is particularly dear to Bénédicte and Alain and since taking over the campsite in 2017, they have introduced several features to ensure its preservation. One example is that they have installed a ‘give-back box’ which gives a second life to items no longer required at the end of a holiday.
