September 2023 saw the publication of "Une Rage de Lire" (Ed. L'Échappée). The author clearly evokes the essential traits of Michel RAGON: his curiosity and his culture, present from his youth, from Fontenay-le-Comte to Paris via Nantes "I had only one desire, practically unattainable, utopian: to be a writer". Michel RAGON was to become one. However, nothing predestined him for such a path, he, the ward of the nation brought up in Vendée, in a very modest social environment, obliged to do a thousand jobs before being able to live from his pen. Nothing, except perhaps the main thing: "a passion for reading".
Thierry MARICOURT has published scholarly works (Histoire de la littérature libertaire), biographies (Henry POULAILLE, Robert DESNOS, etc.), novels, books for young people and poetry that reflect his attachment to the subversive values of humour.
