Event description
For the past 25 years, La Mie Câline Basket GO has aimed to offer not only a sporting event, but also a real celebration of basketball and to leave an unforgettable memory for all its guests. Welcomed in the magnificent setting of Saint-Jean-de-Monts, participants enjoy spectacular entertainment and have the opportunity to meet the godparents of the event each year.
The Mie Câline Basket Go Finals are :
– More than 300 volunteers to welcome the 720 young basketball players and their chaperones from all over France.
– Nine partner clubs from north-western Vendée were on hand to welcome the finalist teams and organise almost 200 matches (Vendée Challans Basket, l’Éveil Garnachois Basket Vendée, Sallertaine Basket Club, Arc en Ciel Basket St-Révérend, Les Mouettes de l’Atlantique La Chaize-Giraud Basket, Commequiers Sport Basket-ball, Monts et Marais Basket, Les Hirondelles Soullandaise Basket and Falleron Touvois Basket Club).
– 60 referees present throughout the weekend.
For the youngsters taking part in the finals, it’s also an opportunity to be spotted by recruiters for their future. Among the participants are renowned players such as Nicolas Batum, Sekou Doumbouya, Fabien Causeur, Killian Hayes, Victor Wembanyama, Valériane Ayayi Vukosavljevic, Diandra Tchatchouang and Olivia Époupa, all of whom have gone on to become professionals and play for top French, European and NBA clubs.
