Event description
Following on from the Chainsaw Sculpture Symposium held in Foussais-Payré since 2011, come and meet the artists and designers who give a second life to recycled materials, for whom reuse is at the heart of their creations, or whose designs are born from diverted objects (wood, metal, rope, plants, sand, etc.).
Over the course of 4 immersive days, the artists and designers will create a work of art, while exhibiting their past creations free of charge.
DETAILED PROGRAMME :
– Every day
– 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.: public creations and sales exhibition
– Thursday 1st August
2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. – Visitors’ workshop: painting on tiles and collective works on wooden totem poles (open to the general public).
– Friday 2nd August
2.30pm to 5.30pm – Visitors’ workshop: Tile painting and collective works on wooden totem poles (open to all).
KAMISHIBAÏ: travelling paper theatre where stories are told…
From 4 to 10pm – Semi-Night Creators’ Market
From 8pm – Apéro-concert: “Aloko” (Island Afro-Tropical Duo)
– Saturday 3rd August
2pm to 4pm – Visitors’ workshop: Tile painting and collective works on wooden totem poles (all ages).
7pm – Festival des Ricochets en Territoire: “128 kilos de Mélèze” (self-propelled circus)
8pm – Evening concert: “La Goguette d’Enfer” (spontaneous, festive, unbridled cabaret in which the audience plays a part)
– Sunday 4th August
2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. – Visitors’ workshop: Tile painting and collective works on wooden totem poles (open to all).
From 3pm – Presentation of works
Free admission.
Refreshments and snacks on site.
This event is open to the public thanks to the efforts of many volunteers.
