Michel RAGON wrote the screenplay for the film directed in 2010 by Solveig ANSPACH, Jem production, with Jacques KIRSNER,
with actress Sylvie TESTUD.
Louise MICHEL, a schoolteacher and muse of the Commune, became an anarchist during her deportation to New Caledonia. She proved to be an exemplary Resistance fighter, setting up a school there and then obtaining amnesty for the Communards, with the help of CLEMENCEAU, then a young parliamentarian in Paris. These two historical figures inspired the novel “Georges et Louise”.
