A blend of virtuosity, improvisation and the spontaneity typical of popular music, Recoveco magnificently showcases the string instruments of Latin America.
The four musicians present a vast instrumental and vocal repertoire of classical South American music: waltzes, joropos, bambucos, pasillos and danzas from Colombia and Venezuela, not forgetting Brazilian choros and Argentine tangos.
Both a classical and popular violinist, one of the best of his generation, Alexis Cardenas is pursuing a brilliant career as a symphony orchestra soloist. He is currently a member of the Tangaria quartet created by accordionist Richard Galliano.
These remarkably sensitive musicians offer audiences a generous concert, full of the sunshine and energy of Latin America.
