NUIT DES MUSÉES AU CYEL
CYEL 10 rue Salvador Allende 85000 LA ROCHE-SUR-YON
Event description
Flash visits to the Mirabilia exhibition, which brings together entomological, botanical and horticultural collections (herbarium, alguier, naturalised insects, vegetable plates) alongside contemporary works from the art library and the La Roche-sur-Yon museum.
A selection of works by Sachiko Morita, Sébastien Gouju, Nicolas Floc’h and Clément Richem are also displayed alongside the specimens on show.
Photographs, installations and videos show a nature that is both real and fantasised. Mirabilia instils a sense of treasure and wonder in the things of nature, raising awareness and respect, and inspiring a desire to take care of them. Over 90 works are on display, including photographs, herbariums and insect boxes.
The tours are organised on an impromptu basis throughout the evening, with each visit starting when the exhibition is full and presenting a different work.
