The best pétanque players will once again be coming together for the National competition organised by the La Roche-sur-Yon clubs (Pétanque Yonnaise, Riv'Yon Pétanque, Pétanque Ornaysienne and Pétanque Club du Bourg).
This 17th edition is a qualifier for the Master pétanque 2025.
This year, the National will welcome a Swiss team led by the 2019 world head-to-head champion, Maïky Molinas,” say the organisers. Spectators come to see the spectacle, the beautiful game, and they won’t be disappointed with the presence of many champions, as well as amateurs and enthusiasts, who will be competing with skill on the courts specially laid out for the occasion at the Parc-Expo des Oudairies.”
The three-day programme:
– Friday 2 February
Departmental veterans’ competition (256 triples) from 8.30 am.
VIP tournament from 8.30pm
– Saturday 3rd February
National (256 triplettes) from 8.30 am (direct elimination).
Round of 16 from 8pm
– Sunday 4th February
Senior competition (128 triplettes) and women’s competition (128 triplettes) from 8.30 am.
Quarter-final of the National from 10am; semi-final at 2.30pm; final at 4.30pm.
