The first missions of the Daughters of Wisdom: a journey to an unknown land
As early as 1875, the Congregation of the Filles de la Sagesse, whose Mother House had been based in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre since the early 18th century, sent sisters on mission to Haiti; other destinations were to follow. A look back at a journey and a settlement fraught with difficulties (presented as part of the scientific partnership between the Département de la Vendée and the Congregation).
