La Venansaltaise 2024
Salle omnisports Allée du Sableau 85190 VENANSAULT
Event description
LA VENANSALTAISE 24 MARCH 2024. Starts from the Venansault sports hall.
8.45 am for the 23
9.00 am for the 16 km
9.15am for the 9km
12.00 for the 1 km and 2 km children’s races
Our history:
Venansault was awarded the “Ville active et sportive” label in 2018. This label was renewed in 2021 and Venansault is now one of only eight communes in the Vendée to have been awarded it, with two laurels.
In our commune, the Louis Chaigne school has 10 classes from nursery to CM2, representing 250 pupils from 178 families. To finance a number of school projects (playground equipment, trips, outings, etc.), around thirty parent volunteers from the APEL and OGEC organised a Walking Tour.
In 2019, we decided to go one step further by launching the first edition of a nature race in Venansault: “La Venansaltaise” with two adult races and two children’s races. This first edition was a real success, with particularly positive feedback from runners and volunteers.
Thanks to the support of the town council, our various private partners and the unfailing loyalty of all our volunteers, new editions have been organised for 2022 and 2023, with the creation of a new 23km course.
Once again, the event was a great success, with over 630 runners registered in 2023 (adults + children). So it’s only natural that we want to continue this wonderful human adventure with a new edition scheduled for Sunday 24 March 2024.
Always keen to bring something new to satisfy our runners, this edition will be the opportunity to discover three new courses in the adult races.
All registrations from non-FFA-licensed runners must be accompanied by a medical certificate dated less than one year (not 3 years) before the date of the race (i.e. by 25 March 2023 at the latest) and stating “no contraindication to competitive running”.
For children, a completed health questionnaire or a sports licence for the current year is required, together with parental authorisation (downloadable from the school website). Best wishes from the Venansaltaise organising team.
