Immerse yourself in the saga of the musketeers under Louis XIII at the Festival de l'Histoire de France!
From 3 to 5 August 2024, get ready to travel back in time with our captivating theme: “The Musketeers under Louis XIII: from myth to reality”.
Activities for all ages await you: angling, children’s workshops, exhibitions, exhibitors/craftsmen, bar, confectionery and much more! Our volunteers, dressed in period costumes, will immerse you in the spellbinding atmosphere of the 17th century.
Ever dreamt of discovering the exciting life of a musketeer under Louis XIII? Two re-enactment troupes will plunge you into the camps and daily life of the musketeers! Demonstrations, interactive workshops and lively discussions await you. Learn all about the equipment, combat techniques and daily life of these legendary heroes of French history.
From 2pm to 7pm, admission to the park is free! What’s more, Cyril and his team from Aux Gouts de Saisons will be serving up a delicious meal cooked on site to tantalise your taste buds from 6.30pm to 8pm.
And at 9.30pm, let yourself be carried away by our late-night comedies, performed by our volunteer comedians! Join us for an unforgettable experience, where history comes to life before your very eyes.
