Paul GOUSSOT
Titular organist of the Dom Bedos organ in the Abbey of Sainte-Croix in Bordeaux, professor of improvisation at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva and organ professor at the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison.

Paul Goussot, organist, harpsichordist and improviser, is titular of the Dom Bedos organ in the Abbey of Ste-Croix in Bordeaux. He teaches improvisation at the Haute École de Genève and organ at the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he was taught by Olivier Baumont, Blandine Rannou, Michel Bouvard, Olivier Latry, Jean-Claude Raynaud, Jean-Baptiste Courtois, Thierry Escaich, Philippe Lefebvre and Jean-François Zygel. He has distinguished himself in a number of international competitions, winning 1st prize for improvisation at the Luxembourg, St Albans and Haarlem international competitions. A regular guest in France and abroad, he has performed at Notre-Dame de Paris, the La Roque-d’Anthéron festival, Toulouse Les Orgues, the Berliner Dom, and also in the United States, where he was ‘First artist in residence’ at Saint-Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. Frequently asked to accompany silent films, Paul Goussot has played at the Musée d’Orsay, the Cinémathèque française and the Maison de la Radio.
