Alma Bettencourt began playing the piano at the age of 5. In 2014, she joined Elena Rozanova’s piano class at the Conservatoire de Région de Paris, and in 2016 Éric Lebrun’s organ class at the Conservatoire de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. In 2017, she won 1st Prize in the “Brin d’herbe” Contemporary Piano Competition in Orléans. Since 2020, she has been studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Olivier Latry and Thomas Ospital. Alma Bettencourt gives recitals in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, Paris (St-Antoine-des-Quinze-Vingts, St-Louis-en-l’Île, St-Pierre-de-Montmartre, Temple de Pentemont, St-Paul-St-Louis, St-Eustache, St-Sulpice) as well as in Fouesnant, Cunault, St-Pol-de-Léon, Cherbourg, Briançon, Lannion, Quimperlé, Guérande… In 2021, Alma Bettencourt took part as a performer in the St-Sulpice Composition Competition in Paris, where she premiered “Aleppian Circle” by Michel Boédec, for which she is the dedicatee.
