Exposition Métissages

Médiathèque Nesmy'Lire 3 Place de l'Église 85310 NESMY

Event description

Sénin is a contemporary painter who has been working in his studio in Nesmy since 1984. I've always painted," he says, "but especially since 1993. Even as a child I was doing things, I always needed to express myself.

All artists are born solitary and grow up uncertain. This essence of absence is with them all their lives, disorientating them and forcing them to find survival responses. Creation is a necessity if they are to exist. Little by little, the emptiness inside him freed himself from this solitude to compose, harmonise, liberate and build himself. Artistic expression is a great step towards the world because it reveals the author without him being able to measure its dimensions. The artist exhibits, exposes himself, but never composes or imposes himself. His intimate solitude then becomes a real sharing through the gaze of the Other on his works.
Always alone… secret.
Because I am like that. Because that’s what we are.

Technique allows me to interpret emotions with a recognisable and personal style. My research leads me down innovative and constantly evolving paths.
Advertising poster paper nuanced by acrylic projections with a toothbrush and a comb, crumpled, crumpled, woven, undulated paper, this material reveals surprises.
Working with sand pigmented in the mass with pigments and acrylics for effects of depth and relief. Sometimes the two techniques are combined for contemporary creations rich in colour.
