Exposition : Les impressions géométriques de Nicolas Bareil
L'Ilot des Arts 1 Place de la Billardière 85190 VENANSAULT
Event description
Nicolas explains his relationship with painting simply: "By chance! I started painting in 2003, one day when I was bored. I had brushes and paint and that's how I started! Since then, I've never been bored. I'm completely self-taught. I like to be in front of a blank canvas before I start. I often have an idea for a monochrome canvas, and then the canvas gradually takes shape. I paint for the love of colour, because I appreciate the contrast that is easier with bright colours. I do, however, do a bit of black and white.
As for painting on concrete cubes, he explains: “It’s a square, heavy object that appealed to me and inspired me. Since then, I’ve been doing geometric prints on this medium, which I really like.
Exhibition open until 28 March, 9am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday and Saturday 10am to 12.30pm.
