EXPOSITION ARTISTIQUE À LA GRANGE DES MARES
Avenue Napoléon Bonaparte Les Mares 85150 LES ACHARDS
Event description
Since 2001, the municipality has been showcasing the creations of local talent around a theme at the Grange des Mares.
Established artists have been added to this warm and intimate exhibition. The event also extends to the local area, with schoolchildren and sometimes college students working on the same theme and exhibiting alongside the artists. Throughout the event, the exhibition will be enlivened by a number of special events.
“Grace” is the theme of “Printemps des poètes” 2024.
“Grace” is also the theme chosen by local artists for the 2024 art exhibition at the Grange des Mares.
It’s a multi-faceted subject that both attracts and frightens, with its many interpretations. This word has both an aesthetic and a theological dimension. It refers to divine favour and human thanks. However, this poetic and mystical concept, somewhat neglected by contemporary designers, has inspired some of the greatest artists in the history of art. The evolution and modernisation of the meaning of the word “grace” has given rise to an effervescence of representations over the centuries.
During this temporary exhibition, visitors to the Mares Barn will be able to discover the various representations created by some fifteen artists using different materials. Paintings, sculptures and photographs will sublimate “Grace elegance”, “grace forgiveness”, “grace recognition”…
The artistic events that will punctuate the exhibition will highlight the multitude of meanings that the word “Grace” conveys. Aerial movements, refined music and imaginative stories will guide young and old alike towards a poetic reading of the world.
