L’Université Permanente :
Because every stage of life is an opportunity for exploration and discovery, the Université Permanente is open to all those who share a desire to stimulate their minds. Based in Nantes and 13 other towns in the Loire-Atlantique and Vendée regions, this Nantes University service offers its 8,000 students a range of lectures and courses in all areas of knowledge, whatever their educational background.
With the support of 300 student volunteers, the Université permanente also offers events, exhibitions and cultural activities to encourage encounters and discovery.
