BOTANISTES EN HERBE
CYEL 10 rue Salvador Allende 85000 LA ROCHE-SUR-YON
Event description
A family discovery of an exhibition that brings together entomological, botanical and horticultural collections (herbarium, alguier, naturalised insects, vegetable plates) alongside contemporary works from the art library and the La Roche-sur-Yon museum. A selection of works by Sachiko Morita, Sébastien Gouju, Nicolas Floc'h and Clément Richem are also on show, in dialogue with the specimens on display. Photographs, installations and videos show a nature that is both real and fantasised. Mirabilia instils a sense of treasure and wonder in the things of nature, raising awareness and respect, and inspiring a desire to take care of them. Over 90 works are on display, including photographs, herbariums and insect boxes.
After discovering the works in the exhibition, children aged 3 to 5 can create imaginary flowers or plants with wacky names.
