Claude Chabrol leaves behind an abundant and varied filmography, but also the image of a bon vivant, a debonair pleasure-seeker, a craftsman without ego, and an impertinent free-thinker who never cultivated mystery or scandal. Yet one enigma remains: how did he manage to make 58 films in 50 years? Numerous extracts from his films, both essential and lesser-known, and testimonials from those who participated in his cinema, his accomplices and fetish actors, illustrate the story of an amazing life, told by Cécile, his adopted daughter, who was also his collaborator for many years.
