Argan rules over a court of miscreant and ignorant doctors who take advantage of his weaknesses. A tyrannical father, an annoying hypochondriac, obsessed with his neuroses, he wants to marry his daughter Angélique to the nephew of Monsieur Purgon, his faithful attending physician.
