About us

Soizic and Corentin, partners since 2021, rear market garden cows (beef), Poitevin goats (cheese) and harvest salt.

You can find their produce in local Biocoop shops. They are involved in supplying the “biodiversités maraîchines” micro-supply chain, which aims to provide organic, local meat that is also committed to protecting living things.

Before joining forces, the two farmers went their own way. Soizic first set up in the commune of La Barre de Monts, then consolidated her position in 2017 with the purchase of the Cochets farm in Saint-Urbain, thanks to the support of three local organisations (the LPO Vendée, the producers’ association Gens du Marais et d’Ailleurs and the consumers’ association Collectif Court-Circuit). Soizic breeds goats in the Poitevin region and processes their milk into cheese, sold directly to local consumers.

A former agri-biodiversity officer at the LPO Vendée, Corentin initially took over the salt marshes at the Daviaud ecomuseum in La Barre de Monts. Then, in addition to his work as a salt-marsh farmer, he became a breeder of Landes de Bretagne ewes, before finally opting for market garden cows.

Soizic and Corentin work, like the other nature farmers of the Marais Breton Vendéen, to encourage the flooding of natural meadows and to graze them extensively, to protect the wild flora and fauna of the Atlantic meadows.
